Integrations: General
This page addresses common questions and challenges we've observed. Hopefully, this helps streamline your experience with our integration process.
Feel free to contact us if you have further questions or need additional clarification.
Data Integration and System Compatibility
How does RADPAIR handle incoming information from different systems, including HL7 feeds, DICOM data, and other metadata?
RADPAIR is typically embedded into internal systems such as PACS, worklists, and other integrated platforms. These systems pass relevant information through event-driven mechanisms, which are documented in our Report Management Endpoints section under report pre-caching and in our example payloads section.
We support sending finalized reports and associated data back to these systems, including optional HL7 outbound messaging with customizable payloads. For specific requirements, please contact us for implementation guidance.
How does RADPAIR handle key images or supplemental data such as AI classifiers or ultrasound measurements?
We support ingestion of such data through our AI ingestion layer called PAIR Prologue. Within PAIR Prologue, our AI engine processes diverse data types and can:
Route the information to the transcript window, allowing radiologists to review or edit it before report generation, or
Automatically embed it into the final report via our preprocessing engine so that it's ready when the radiologist opens the case.
Both approaches are supported, depending on the desired workflow.
Integration Timeline and Resources
How long does integration typically take?
Most teams are able to integrate RADPAIR via iframe within 2–3 weeks following review of our documentation. In some cases, integrations have been completed in as little as 3 days. Timelines depend on the complexity of the integration, including metadata payload and orchestration requirements.
How many of my technical people will need to be involved or dedicated to this?
Our integration can be completed with only one dedicated technical person.
Testing and Costs
How long does testing take once integrated?
We suggest testing at each step of the integration. Testing should take an hour or two.
Is there a cost to integrating?
No additional costs.
Plans and Specifications
Is there a project plan and specs we will need to follow?
Yes, please see our integration guide for a step-by-step process on completing the integration.
Customization and Development
Does RADPAIR support custom development for specific sites?
Yes. RADPAIR offers tailored workflows and can incorporate custom AI tools or reporting logic based on site-specific needs. We actively encourage partners to share ideas for improving their workflows, and we work closely with them to bring those ideas to life.
Onboarding Process
Is there already an onboarding process (Integration, Implementation, and Training)?
Yes, our onboarding process covers integration, implementation, and training to ensure a smooth transition.
Training and Onboarding
Does someone in IT or PACS need to be able to teach the radiologists?
It is recommended that there be a point person for onboarding and ongoing questions, if they arise.
Do we schedule training and implementation with you once integration is complete?
Yes, we can train a member of your staff or IT team so they can become fully versed in our solution and address needs within your organization if they arise.
Support and Contact
Who do I contact for support or integration documentation?
You can reach our team at [email protected] at any time for assistance with technical documentation, support inquiries, or integration questions.
